Art is Beauty

How do you explain your passion in life?
Do you tell them how you feel..or do you show them something, are you hoping for them to feel what you feel?
And how do you know if they feel the same thing as you do, is any feeling really the same?

While I’m writing this I’m listening to a piece of music from Ludovico Einaudi titled Una Mattina, which was composed for the movie ”Intouchables”.
To me it’s one of the most emotional pieces of music that I know, to me it’s Art.

Art has the most beautiful definition of any word that I know: The conscious production or arrangement of sounds, colors, forms, movements, or other elements in a manner that affects the sense of beauty.

So that indirectly means that Art is Beauty.
And beauty isn’t bound to any factors, just the ones that you attribute to it.
You create art, everyday, by looking around and seeing the beauty of life, of people, of things around you.
My passion lies in cinema, in all its different aspects, it can silence me to the point of sadness, or happyness, or simply just make me numb, energetic or thoughtful about so many things.

In a world where everything is becoming more and more rushed, and the term ‘personal’ is losing its value because of giant entities like ‘Facebook’ or ‘MSN’, art still thrives. Whether its through music, film or contemporary art.
It’s the one thing that we will leave behind for whatever comes into this world after our presence is gone.
Maybe you don’t feel it the way that I do, or maybe you don’t feel that this is the way it’s supposed to be explained.

It can’t be explained, and it never will be.
But you cared long enough to read through this piece, and hopefully, ever so briefly, it makes you think about how art is present in your life.

Art is beauty, and beauty will never leave this earth, you just have to know where to look.
