About

Paul Knoop a.k.a. That Dutch Filmlover (1986)

I was born and raised in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
My early years were mostly spent on playing soccer and reading comics. Movies have always played the most prolific part in my life though.

When I was a kid my dad took me to the videostore every once in a while, and looking back that’s where my interest in movies began.

Watching tapes with movies like Jaws, Star Wars and The Terminator sparked my interest even more and on a latter age I turned to horror, which I still hold dearly to my heart as my most beloved genre of all.

Years have gone by and as you can see I am now also part of the ‘Suits’ club. But my passion remains Cinema in all its forms, and it’s my ambition to work in that field someday.
This blog is a love letter to that passion and hopefully helps you decide what to watch next.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, and most importantly: enjoy this blog!

  2. Hello,

(sorry for the ‘comment’ but your contact page is down.)

I’m happy to announce Season 2 of our show While Waiting For Godot is now streaming on our Official Site, Blip.TV and Youtube.

My crew and I are traveling to the Rome Web Awards in Italy via Amsterdam for 5 days, and so we wanted to reach out to you and your publishing as available for interviews while in your city, and with plenty of promotional materials for our show.

Season 1 of our show has been nominated for Best Direction and Best Cinematography for the 2014 Rome Web Awards.

You can watch Season 2 here anytime:

Our show is a film adaptation, approved by the Beckett Estate, based on a new translation of Samuel Beckett’s original unpublished 1948 French manuscript of ‘En Attendant Godot’ (pre-censorship and theatrical adaptation), giving English speakers a chance for the first time to experience the raw, risqué, rebellious script as Beckett originally intended.

Our team is traveling to Italy this week for the awards.

    Cheers,
    Rudi

    Thank you,
    Rudi Azank
